9/20

This week flew by!!! So much training and so little time. Baron and I are learning. This week has been better. We have worked on Baron's focus. He is starting to look at me more when out and about on walks or in the backyard. This is a big improvement for both of us!!!! So many things to distract outside. Our field trip to the farmstand was good. Our walk in the forest preserve was great. Baron met 4 dogs and had some social time as well as a walk.

9/13

THE GOOD: On the positive, Baron, will settle down when teathered. He is progressing in learning sit, down, and the trick we are learning for next weeks class. We are still working on walking on a lead, his focus on me and time. He is smarter than he let on, and will do what we ask, most of the time happily but lately reluctantly. He will work for food and play. THE BAD: Baron is growling at me, biting me, jumping up, especially when tired. THE UGLY: Peeing on the floor 30 min after he went out, no signal. He just stopped playing, stood and peed. In the past he would run to the door when he had to go. In the day he is receptive but at nite he is tired and tries to bully. He seems to have taken a big step backwards in some areas while progressing in others.

Saturday 9/7

What a crazy week! Baron actions have been all over the place. He has been mouthing, peeing in the house, jumping up and just seemed to have taken a step backwards. But there is some glimmers of hope. Less pulling while on our walks. He understands more than he lets on. Sit, Down, chilling with the family. He is choosing his toys over shoes. He is very sweet and affectionate. It seems that he is bonding to the family. We attended training today. We need to work on his focus. He is curious about what is going around him, but not watching what I am doing. He came home exhausted. A tired dog is a good dog!
